Commentary Supposing Books Five Go to Billycock Hill (The Famous Five #16)

Genuinely don't think I had ever actually listened to this one as a child and so the adventure was all new to me. However, I don't think this is one of the best adventures that the five have as once again it's focused on the boys predominantly, and it's more of a mystery that they just happen to kind of be a part of, rather than true investigation.

This is the story of the kids visiting Billycock hill and befriending a young pilot. However, it seems like quickly there is a mystery with the planes at the local airfield and he's implicated...

A fun easy read, but nothing too exciting. 2*s from me.

Evaluation Containing Books Five Go to Billycock Hill (The Famous Five #16)
A bit of a curious story, this one. Two stolen aeroplanes and some seriously dark undertones of organised crime, and attempted murder all dealt with in the classic Enid Blyton way. All's well that ends well for the good guys and never mind the rest! Everyone home for a jolly big feast.

This was a good one - had all the good elements of a famous five book.

⭐⭐đŸ’«The four explorers and their dog have grown up a bit and this mystery grew up a little, too, by delving into national security espionage. It still has the same elements of the previous The Famous Five series...and I still had my marker to scrub inappropriate language for youngsters. We dont want our children calling others idiot, stupid, or a**es, do we? I was reminded how to remember the difference in stalactites and stalagmites. Fun! Stalactites hold on tight to the ceiling of a cave and

I absolutely adored these stories as a kid. I'm so glad they continue to be reprinted for current generations to enjoy!

Five Go to Billycock HillBrief Summary by Poppy Hutchinson (from http://www.enidblytonsociety.co.uk/): Whilst camping on Billycock Hill, the Famous Five, accompanied by Toby, a friend from a local farmhouse, encounter a mystery surrounding a Secret airfield nearby, and the mysterious disappearance of two planes. Toby's Cousin: Jeff, who is a Flight-Lieutenant at the airfield is also missing, and it seems as if he and an accomplice have made off with the planes. Can the children clear his name

Oh WOW!This story starts with the kids going a picnic again. Here, we join Julian and Dick, Anne and George, not forgetting their dog Timmy who went to Billycock Hill for a leisure trip but had to experience adventure with Toby-their friend, Benny-the sweet little boy(Toby's brother),Binky-Toby's dog,and Curly-Benny's pet piglet...THE BLOB On holiday again, the Five are back at Billycock Hill, and making friends already. They can't believe it when they meet Jeff- a real pilot! Maybe they'll

This is a good additional to the series, there is camping,an airfield, kidnapped pilots and a runaway pig! The five go to spend the Whitsun holiday at Billycock Hill where Julian and Dick have a friend called Toby. When two planes go missing from the airfield during a stormy night the Five are upset to find out Toby's cousin is accused of taking the one of the planes, but when the planes are found in the sea where is Toby's cousin and who stole the planes.I really enjoyed this installment it was
