I had heard some really enthusiastic things about this book which made me want to read it, but I couldn't get past the first 50 pages. The parts I read were drowning in purple prose and there was a huge lack of a plot. Nothing was happening and it was just really boring. I liked this book, but have to give it the the 3-star-treatment thanks to a feeling of ambiguity and loose ends I got from it.
