Narration In Favor Of Books The Hook Up (Game On #1)

The rules: no kissing on the mouth, no staying the night, no telling anyone, and above all… No falling in love

Anna Jones just wants to finish college and figure out her life. Falling for star quarterback Drew Baylor is certainly not on her to do list. Confident and charming, he lives in the limelight and is way too gorgeous for his own good. If only she could ignore his heated stares and stop thinking about doing hot and dirty things with him. Easy, right?

Too bad he’s committed to making her break every rule…

Football has been good to Drew. It’s given him recognition, two National Championships, and the Heisman. But what he really craves is sexy yet prickly Anna Jones. Her cutting humor and blatant disregard for his fame turns him on like nothing else. But there’s one problem: she's shut him down. Completely.

That is until a chance encounter leads to the hottest sex of their lives, along with the possibility of something great. Unfortunately, Anna wants it to remain a hook up. Now it’s up to Drew to tempt her with more: more sex, more satisfaction, more time with him. Until she’s truly hooked. It's a good thing Drew knows all about winning.

All’s fair in love and football…Game on

5 STARSABSOLUTELY LOVED IT----just ignore the cover! It's NOTHING like how the hero is!I have a tumultuous relationship with NA. I was about to avoid it completely with it's overdone tropes and over-the-top drama. But then I read this book and it changed my perspective completely because sometimes...sometimes you read something so wonderful it reaffirms your faith in an otherwise tired sub genre. I won't explain what this book is about, just read the synopsis. But I will get into why I loved

These bloody good NA books are making a liar out of me.I'm pretty sure my profile on Goodreads says something along the lines of - NA are not for me. The Hook Up proved me wrong. I AM into books that suck me in, make me laugh, blush, cry and grumble, teach me something (how's that headache Sparkles?) and leaves me with a big smile on my face. New Adult books seem to have turned a corner. We are not bombarded with chicks who lose their mental capacity because they want a certain blokes attention.

4%This is a new low for me... Insta-love of EPIC PROPORTIONS Anna: The second our gazes connect, hot tingles zap through me, making my breath catch and my nipples harden. The sensation is so unnerving that I can only sit there, my hand fluttering to my chest where my heart struggles to break free(...) Stranger still, it feels as if I know him, have known him for years. Drew: Anna Jones. Just her name. That was all shed said. It was like a hot finger stroking down my spine. My head snapped up.

4.5 Stars (Re-Read 6/29/2018)4 Stars (Originally Read 9/14/2014)Overall Opinion: This was another book that I had just left a star rating and not an actual review for, so I decided to give it a re-read. I don't remember it being so deep! We get into these characters on a deeper level then I'm used to with college athlete books. I think that was a good surprise! I love their dialogue. I also love how deeply they cared for and knew each other. I'm increasing my rating from 4 stars to 4.5, because

Title:The Hook UpSeries:Game On #1Author:Kristen CallihanRelease date:September 8, 2014Rating:4.5 starsCliffhanger:No HEA: (view spoiler)[Yes (hide spoiler)]This is not a debut author, but she's new to me. Although she's written several books, they are in the historical/paranormal/steampunk genres and I don't dabble much in those. This is her first attempt at New Adult and I have to say, I was completely impressed with this book. The writing was fantastic. It was emotional, it was funny, it was

4.5 stars The Hook Up is one of those books that has been on my TBR for FOREVER! All my friends loved it, and here I am, picking it up well over a year after its release. This, my friends, is a fail moment for me. I seem to be having a lot of those in the book world. Too many books and not enough time I say. My point- if you are a NA fan and are in the same boat as me, READ THIS BOOK! It was swoony, sweet, and sexy. Everything I love in a romance. Anna Jones is a dedicated college student and
