Love Is a Many Trousered Thing (Confessions of Georgia Nicolson #8)
This series never fails to make me laugh out loud. Georgia Nicolson is so confused, so dramatic, and so boy-crazy, but you see hints of a good heart underneath. While enjoying her antics I find myself rooting for the rational part of her brain to win. I don't know how to recommend these titles to teen girls. Do they take the books seriously or laugh at themselves? Need a little help from all you YA Specialists. How do you sell this series?
i just want to be done with this series already but noooo, there's two more books left!

Ah, what can I even say as I return to reading these after a decade? I mean, they're hilarious and ridiculous, and Georgia seems that exact lovable mixture of confused, mean, and sexually frustrated. The language is funny, Georgia's frustration over having two boyfriends and not honestly knowing which guy she likes is pretty adorable, and the hijinks with Georgia's family are amusing. I'm a little irritated that so many of her mocking comments seem to be focused on old people being disgusting
Luuurve is a Many Trousered Thing was a laugh! We left the previous book with Georgia running off to catch an imaginary train, just to escape the wild predicament that is Sex God and the Luuurve God at the same place at the same time! The Luuurve fandango continues and Georgia's queuing up at the Bakery of Love!Georgia's let into the cakeshop and has finally decided on the Italian fancy that is Masimo. He becomes her official boyfriend, giving her a No.4 (on the snogging scale, times 3), and
I'm waaaay older than the target audience for this book now and yet I still find them to be the perfect pick-me-up when my illness flares up and I need an easy, amusing read. Georgia is such a funny character, I can't help but find her endearing even when she is being utterly daft.

This used to be one of my favourite series when I was 14/15. Georgia's as insane and her escapades as outrageously hilarious as ever. It's laugh-out-loud funny and HUGELY entertaining. Seriously. I mean, Georgia's somewhat of a boy magnet now - has Lurrve God, Masimo, and Sex God, Robbie, at her disposal - and then accidentally lands another boy in the midst. As Well. It's a crazy, crazy romp. The only reason this loses a star is because, I dunno, but I felt like some of the charm was kindaThis series never fails to make me laugh out loud.
