Initial thoughts before review: OMG! YEEEEESSSSSS! I love me some LC!ReviewRating: AThe Dorina Basarab series is a spin off from the Cassandra Palmer series and Im a huge fan of both. They are both unique and exciting in their own way. But, Furys Kiss just blew me out of the water and is now my most favorite book in both series so far! Furys Kiss is an incredible mix of explosive action, mystery, humor, and lots of personal changes for Dorina Basarab. The mystery was twisty and kept me in3.5 stars spoilersDory is determined to help the Senate uncover the truth behind the murders of several powerful vampires that she was working with in what should have been a simple mission. As the only survivor, Dory is key to the investigation. However, Dory doesn't remember what happened, so she must risk her life to retrieve her memories and stop any further deaths.The Good-Dory was as likeable and fun as ever. Karen Chance simply gets better and better as a writer. This book is the best thing she's ever written (and I thought her last book, Hunt the Moon, was her best too).The books clock in at 536 pages, and none of it feels like padding or filler. Everything builds toward a conclusion that I never saw coming in a million years (though thankfully no cliffhanger ending!) The pacing of the book is perfect too.
